STAMI ‘La Montagna dei Saperi’
A tool to explore the complexity of our reality and to outline the desired paths of territorial regeneration.
STAMI “The Mountain of Knowledge” refers to the Unione Montana dei Comuni dell’Appennino Reggiano, which was selected as a pilot area for the National Strategy for Inner Areas (SNAI) through the project “The Mountain of Milk.” This area also includes the municipalities of Baiso, Viano, and Canossa, previously included in the strategy. The motto of the STAMI, “From the Mountain of Milk to the Mountain of Knowledge,” reflects the continuity with the SNAI local development project, while marking an evolution towards the adoption of technological and social innovations within the framework of ecological sustainability.
The STAMI of the Reggio Emilia Apennines is structured around three main projects:
– The Mountain of Knowledge, which explores various themes and territories.
– Mountain Parmigiano Reggiano Supply Chain, Phase 2, which further develops the typical mountain cheese production chain.
– Sustainability Project, involving entities such as the Consorzio di Bonifica Emilia Centrale, the Consorzio Forestale di Marola, and the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, all already engaged in sustainability and forest management initiatives, including the LIFE AgriCOlture project and other ongoing efforts.
The STAMI aims to promote innovation and sustainability across various local sectors.
